US rangelands hold the potential to sequester soil carbon, but overgrazing and undermanagement have led to soil degradation and loss of carbon. The Rangeland Carbon Tracking and Management Tool aims to help managers monitor and verify the effects – good or bad – of grazing management while helping them devise strategies for building healthier soils, reducing land degradation, and sequestering carbon in their soils.
